Tin Marin Mobil Progress Report

By Juan Carlow Novoa | Executive Director

With your support our plans to launch Tin Marin Mobil are progressing. Our education and exhibit teams are working to finalize the adaptation of museum exhibits and programs for use in local schools across the country. It is no small task to choose what to include from our 31 different exhibits and programs.  But our staff are enjoying trying out each learning expreience they are designing for the children to learn through play.

Establishing relationships with the first group of schools is going well.  As we talk with teachers at each school the excitement and anticipation is contageous.  Arrangements for the Mobil vehicle have been completed. We will soon be ready to take Tin Marin to children across the country.

This project will make a significant positive impact on the lives of children in every district, just as the Tin Marin Children’s Museum in San Salvador does already with 200,000 visitors a year.  Building self confidence and increasing social skills are but two important results of a few hours with Tin Marin.  And now more than ever they are two higlhly needed outcomes for the children of Central America.

If you a part of the two million Salvadoran Americans in the USA we urge you to share this story with your friends and relatives. We firmly believe that Tin Marin is the good news of El Salvador. Join us in spreading that good news.
