Take Conrol! Building Resilience in Nairobi slums has recieved a total of $ 5283.33 in disbursement funds from globalgiving. We would like to thank you for playing a major role in promoting the work done by Shamas Rugby Foundation.
The amount we recieved still remains in our account. This is because Take Control! camps are conducted during school holidays when most of the children are available. These holidays fall in the Months of April, August and December.
With the money in our account, we have planned for the August to reach 120 chlildren for a period of one week. The budget explainig how the money will be spent has been attached in this report.
The camp will focus on teaching children skills of understanding oneself. This will cover topics like; Values, Self-Awareness, Self-Esteem, Managing Stress and Emotions, and Sexuality.
We really look forward to having a successful camp in August after which we will provide a more detailed report on the impact of Take Control!.
