Dear Friend,
As we are ending the year we are happy to tell you some more work we did in the second semester with local education communities.
We have just wrapped up the activities with the 5 local schools we’ve been working with, and the families. It has been a wonderful experience. The kids, teachers and parents engaged in all the workshops and we have seen an improvement in knowledge and understanding of food growing and environment, the garden has been growing beautifully and we had our last workshops on composting.
They learned about the different methods of composting, got to see the worms in action and see them up close. Each school installed their own vermicompost and has started composting their organic waste.
Next year we are going to be working along new local education communities and promoting outdoor learning and environmental education, and we are so excited.
