Dear friend,
We are glad to let you know that spring season came with a lot of activities for us and the community. During the last month we did two educational activities for the childrens of Concón in our greenhouse. Also, we’ve been working with Irma Salas School, which receives around 395 childrens and youth of Concón.
In the first place, we participated in the II Reading, Culture and Communication Fair, for the schools and kindergartens of Concón. In this opportunity, we received childrens from Puente Colmo and Mauquitos kindergarten. These children have an eco-tour, visiting the orchard, greenhouse and native plants we have in our foundation. Then we had a really fun activity, where a teacher told a story about sustainability, care for the environment and happy communities.
This activity was very important for the educational program of Concón, because it was focused on gathering together around the culture and the fun of learning.
In other activities, we finished the construction of the educational orchard in Irma Salas School. With the collaboration of the donors and GA Consultores, a local company, we’ve been able to build this space and finally inaugurate. This is very relevant for the learning process of the youth, relative to environment, biology and chemistry.
