Dear GlobalGiving Donors,

This weeek marks July Bonus Day, in which funds given will be matched whilst funds last. GlobalGiving’s July Bonus Day campaign will begin on July 12, 2023, at 07:00 GMT and will end when matching funds run out, or on July 12, 2023, at 21:00GMT, whichever comes first.. As we approach that time, we would like to further update you on more of the students who continue to programme on the music programme.

Your continued support has enabled these young musicians to pursue their passion for music and reach significant milestones in their musical journeys. We sincerely appreciate your ongoing dedication to empowering these aspiring artists.

Businge Favour continues to be a dedicated and committed young pianist. Favour has been making notable progress in his piano playing, exploring a diverse repertoire. He actively seeks out new challenges in technical development and recently completed the ABRSM Grade 5 examination during the school holidays in May. This accomplishment has opened doors for Favour to pursue performance grade examinations at an advanced level. With your continued support, Favour's aspirations of playing at an advanced level are well within reach. He is extremely ambitious, often asking questions and trying out big pieces in the canon, and hopes to be able to play them in time. , We look forward to witnessing his growth throughout the year.

Kawuki Athanathius demonstrated unwavering commitment and perseverance in his piano studies. Athanathius consistently attends lessons and has been steadily progressing in his musical journey. He is devoted to developing his technique through a diverse range of repertoire, with a particular focus on consistency in performance. Athanathius faces certain technical challenges, such as finger independence and strength, which he diligently addresses through part playing and melodic projection. Finger scales and arpeggios remain integral to his studies, ensuring his continuous development and consistency. Your ongoing support will enable Athanathius to overcome these challenges and reach new heights in his musical abilities.

Lastly, we would like to commend Kavuma Jonathan for his remarkable commitment and progress. Jonathan has demonstrated great dedication to his piano studies, maintaining regular practice sessions. He responds positively to instruction and consistently shows good progress. His studies encompass a wide range of technical drills, including scales and arpeggios, as well as repertoire spanning various musical eras. Additionally, Jonathan has gained valuable performance experience by accompanying choirs. He also harbours aspirations beyond piano playing, expressing an interest in pursuing a performance grade exam in the future and learning to play the organ. Jonathan's dreams will become a reality with your support, and we eagerly anticipate witnessing his musical journey unfold.

Throughout their journeys, these talented students have benefited from the guidance of our exceptional teacher, Paul Luggya. His expertise and dedication have played a crucial role in nurturing their musical abilities. Under his guidance, our students have flourished and made remarkable progress.

As we move forward, we kindly request our current donors to continue their generous contributions, ensuring the sustainability of our music program. Your support has been instrumental in shaping the lives of these young musicians, enabling them to pursue their dreams. Furthermore, we encourage those who haven't donated in a while to consider contributing to our upcoming accelerator. Your donation will profoundly impact the lives of these aspiring artists, allowing them to continue their musical journey and realize their full potential.

Once again, we sincerely thank all our donors for their unwavering support. Your generosity has made a tangible difference in the lives of these young musicians, empowering them to create beautiful melodies and pursue their passion for music. Together, we are transforming lives through the power of music.

With deepest appreciation,

Kiggundu Musoke Executive Director
