This challenge is exacerbated by weak healthcare infrastructure &inadequate health facilities, particularly in rural and remote areas, leaving large segments of the population vulnerable. In recent years, Ethiopia has seen a sharp increase in malaria cases, with over 7.3 million reported in 2024, along with 1,157 deaths.This surge, compared to 4.1 million cases and 527 deaths in 2023
The proposed donation aims to address critical gaps in Ethiopia's fight against malaria.Funds will provide a comprehensive package of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment tools, including bed nets, antimalarial drugs, indoor residual spraying, &modern microscopy for rapid diagnostic tests. Additionally, ambulances will be procured to transport vulnerable individuals, such as pregnant women, to health facilities.Funds will also for procure vehicles to strengthen malaria surveillance & monitoring
