Challenge

Ethiopia is one of the most malaria-affected countries, ranking among the top malaria-endemic nations globally. This challenge is exacerbated by weak healthcare infrastructure &inadequate health facilities, particularly in rural and remote areas, leaving large segments of the population vulnerable. In recent years, Ethiopia has seen a sharp increase in malaria cases, with over 7.3 million reported in 2024, along with 1,157 deaths.This surge, compared to 4.1 million cases and 527 deaths in 2023

Solution

The proposed donation aims to address critical gaps in Ethiopia's fight against malaria.Funds will provide a comprehensive package of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment tools, including bed nets, antimalarial drugs, indoor residual spraying, &modern microscopy for rapid diagnostic tests. Additionally, ambulances will be procured to transport vulnerable individuals, such as pregnant women, to health facilities.Funds will also for procure vehicles to strengthen malaria surveillance & monitoring

The donation will improve access to healthcare& effective treatment, reducing malaria-related deaths and enhancing the overall well-being of the population.
