Support urgent medical needs of Palestinians

As we approach the close of another year, we find ourselves reflecting on both the profound challenges and the incredible strength of the Palestinian people. The situation in Palestine has escalated over the past 14 months, the relentless violence, displacement, and trauma inflicted on our community have reached new depths of suffering. Despite this, we remain resolute in our mission, thanks to your unwavering support.

It is with immense gratitude that we report on the vital impact your contributions continue to make. Your generosity has been a lifeline during this dark period, and together, we have ensured that Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR) remains a beacon of hope, providing critical medical and rehabilitation care to those in urgent need.

The Impact of Your Support:

Since our last update, your donations have allowed us to continue procuring essential medical supplies and equipment, including medications, surgical disposables, and emergency kits. These supplies have been indispensable in enabling our medical and surgical teams to perform life-saving surgeries, provide emergency care, and conduct critical rehabilitation interventions.

Thanks to your generosity, BASR has provided a total of 44,559 essential medical services over the past months. This includes 6,103 in-patient services, 32,864 outpatient treatments, and 5,592 life-saving surgeries.

With the increasing violence and constant threat of attack, the need for medical and rehabilitation services has risen exponentially, and your support has ensured that we can serve these needs.

Furthermore, BASR’s rehabilitation departments have continued to provide essential services. Since the beginning of this campaign, 1029 individuals have received rehabilitative care, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life despite the continuous threat of violence. This would not have been possible without your support, which has allowed us to maintain the resources needed to carry out these services.

Looking Ahead:

As we move into the new year, the situation on the ground remains dire. However, the determination of our medical teams and the solidarity from supporters like you give us hope. The need for medical and rehabilitation services is expected to increase as the violence persists. BASR will continue to stand strong on the front lines, providing essential care, but we need your help more than ever.

With the ongoing war, we know the need for BASR’s services will only grow, and your continued generosity will ensure that we can be there for those who need us the most.
