Dear Friends,
We have reached our target for this year for our project on 'Support Rural Schools in Sri Lanka" through the generosity of all our donors. We thank you for considering our project, and may you and your family be blessed abundantly. We deactivate this project now, as we have reached our target.
For this year, we have received requests from 9 schools in Jaffna (Northern Province), 10 schools in Seruvavila (Eastern Province), a school from Matara (Southern Province) and a school from Matale (Central Province). Besides we will support 1,100 children starting Grade 1 in 2021, in 35-40 rural schools in Dehiattakandiya (Eastern Province).
The names of the schools in Jaffna, Seruwavila, Matara and Matale are as follows,

(5) Somapura Adarsha Vidyalaya, Somapura - 271 Students
(6) Al Thaj Maha Vidyalaya, Jinnanagar, Toppur - 211 Students
(7) Toppur Pansal Godalla Primary School, Wan Ela, Kantale - 99 Students
(8) Kanthale Ariyamankeni Vidyalaya, Lingapuram,Keliveddy - 43 Students
(9) Keliveddy Kavantissa Vidyalaya, Seruvila - 67 Students
(10) Gamini Vidyalaya, Somapura - 43 Students
(11) Nilapola Vidyalaya, Neelapola - 121 Students
(12) Somadevi Vidyalaya, Somapura - 291 Students
(13) Delft Sumbramania Vidyalayam, Jaffna - 20 Students

As given above, we will support over 3,100 students in rural schools this year, with their requirements for school year commencing in January 2021.
This project has been continued by Tarana Foundation, for the 3rd year in succession,
We will continue to provide updates on the project you have made a donation to, till its completely carried out.
We also hope to support 40 rural pre-schools in Dehiattakandiya in January 2021, with a pack of educational and communication material to help simulate motor & language skills and also cognitive competencies of pre-school children.
