In May 2023, the government of Puerto Rico terminated the COVID-19 prevention guidelines. During all this time we have continued to offer both face-to-face, and virtual services. Like the Estima Workshops that we were doing through the ZOOM platform. Between the months of March, and April, we were working with a large group of participants on the topics of healing emotional wounds, anxiety, and stress management, communication, and emotional intelligence. In the workshops, tools were offered at professional counseling level, and strategies of Creative Artistic Therapies were also integrated.
Taking advantage of the fact that the COVID-19 prevention rules were already more relaxed, we had the opportunity to hold the 6th Day of Creative Artistic Therapies in our facilities. We have a lot of community involvement. Adults, children, and young people enjoyed a morning of music, art, movement, and drama activities. We culminated dancing with Bomba, our folk music.
For the second consecutive year we celebrated the International Symposium of Creative Art Therapies through the ZOOM platform. More than 50 people participated, including from the sister countries of Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Mexico. The panelists discussed topics related to the importance of integrating these therapies in the work with children were discussed.
Psychological, and counseling services continue to be offered, both in our offices, and virtually, for those who prefer it. We encourage people to call to schedule their appointment. We thank all the people who have collaborated with us in these months to make these projects a reality.
