Children are the most vulnerable creatures and require extra emotional and physical care. Setting up an orphanage with hundreds of kids is not an easy job. Children from less-privileged backgrounds are often neglected and have poor educational and communication skills. Most of them are emotionally disturbed too. It takes a lot of time, effort and energy to make them familiar and comfortable with the atmosphere of their new home. After this part, we start working to improve their social skills and help them with their studies.
All this hard work pays off when we see their bright faces, and their accomplishments simply melt our hearts down.
Dai Fu Martial Arts Championship
Twenty kids from MyHome Al-Mustafa participated in the Sindh/Balochistan Dai Fu Martial Arts Championship 2023 in different categories. Our hearts danced with joy and pride when our boy Hammad won the Best Performer Title and was awarded a GOLD MEDAL.
Other children also performed really well and won different trophies. The group of MyHome was declared the Best Group and was awarded two Shields of Honour.
Iftar Parties
Iftar parties are one of the most beautiful customs of Ramadan. People meet, break their fast and enjoy delicious food together. Although Fasting is mandatory for adults only, the children are the most excited beings in Ramdan. Suhoor (breakfast before dawn for those who fast)and Iftaar (breaking of fast) times fascinate children a lot. Our kids also get a lot of invitations for Iftaars. The administration carefully accepts those invitations that go with our children's schedules and MyHome's policies. The following three big parties were the highlight of the month and, surprisingly, also became the talk of the town.
Beach Party and McDonald's
What could be more fun in summer than a day at the beach? The gigantic waves, cool breeze, soft sand, and the company of friends made it the perfect day out for the children. Ultimately, dinner at McDonalsd's was undoubtedly the cherry on top.
