Brandon has 20 years of experience and was born in search of an alternative space where art and activism could meet, taking the issue of sexual diversity as a central theme. In 2005 we opened a cultural center called "casaBrandon" where we carry out all kinds of cultural activities. We are a team of people who work to create and support a large number and variety of projects and initiatives to promote LGBTIQ+ visibilty
Although Argentina is a pioneer regarding the promulgation of some rights for the LGBTIQ+ community, we unfortunately still live in a society where hate and rejection are still very common. As a result, traditional broadcasting channels don't allow us to show different realities that question the basis of the heteropatriarchal society that we live on. Thus, our community doesn't have acces to qualified platforms and equipment to showcase its identity
Brandon's challenge is to work for the real execution of our rights in society and provide the LGBTIQ+ community diversified quality platforms to amplify our voices and multiply our message. We take art and its manifestations as the basis of our activism (ARTIVISM) and culture as a powerful political fact capable of promoting a more just and egalitarian society. We offer our community a cultural center, a gallery, events, alliances, a library, a production company and a publishing house
Artistic expressions help to undermine the symbolic boundaries that still separate our society in minorities and majorities. We strive to achieve true integration within our society, where we finally can say that ressources are at the service of art, and not the other way around
