This project will help a network of small, grassroots nonprofits in Kenya Learn, Share and Grow. This will enable them to serve local communities more efficiently with greater impact, where possible working in collaboration to share resources and knowledge. Through the network, they can gain more visibility and access training opportunities for capacity building.
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." Many small nonprofit organisations are doing good work but operate in isolation. In one community several organisations provide similar services to different people yet they never communicate. Time is wasted trying to figure out something that another organisation has mastered, resources are not put to maximum use, the community is not served in a holistic way. By bringing organisations together, we can change this.
This project's motto is Learn, Share, Grow. We vet nonprofit organisations and build a network of those that are High Impact and High Integrity. Bringing them together for regular events gives the opportunity to share ideas, discuss tried and tested approaches, address skills gaps and share resources. These organisations can refer each other for funding opportunities or work together on campaigns to amplify their voices. Where there are skills gaps, we bring in experts for training sessions.
By working together, our network of organisations can work more efficiently and have greater impact. Communities will be better served as organisations offering different services can look at the bigger picture with a more holistic approach. As small organisations, it is not as easy to secure funding or achieve visibility for campaigns but by joining forces and using a larger pool of skills and resources they can go further.
