During the COVID-19 pandemic, YSIK campaigned for the donation of health assistance for women victims of violence who are Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRD). They are the front line in providing case assistance and victim recovery services. The distribution of funds is carried out through a service provider organization / woman crisis center.
This initiative was agreed with the National Commission on Violence Against Women to respond to the outbreak of WHRD exposed to COVID-19. Through raising public donations, approximately USD 1500 has been raised. Public donations use social media by including a QR Code and a humanitarian donation bank account. The funds have been distributed to 15 WHRD affected by COVID-19. The health support provided includes PCR tests, food, and vitamins.
In addition, YSIK has also collected data on hundreds of elderly victims of human rights violations. The next stage will be sending the dignity kid and special equipment for the elderly such as wheelchairs, beds, and others.
