Victims of past gross human rights violations have not fully obtained their rights to justice, truth and reparation. The long process of waiting for justice for them is in line with the condition of the bodies of the victims who are getting older (elderly), often get sick and not a few have died. However, they also hope that social inclusion can work so that they can safely, comfortably and without fear obtain their basic rights as citizens in the form of social, economic, and cultural access. Unfortunately, this kind of process requires a long process and time.
Yayasan Sosial Indonesia untuk Kemanusiaan (IKa) from January to June 2021 continues to serve the victims by distributing funds that can be used for recovery and emergency response services. In the context of recovery, IKa supports psychosocial recovery efforts through social, economic, and cultural approaches so as to grow social acceptance in society. Furthermore, for emergency response services, IKa provides an urgent fund program to help victims who need hospital treatment and purchase medical equipment needed by victims.
At this time, IKa does not only serve by channeling funding but also provides dignity kits to victims and special needs tools for elderly victims, including personal protective equipment to prevent the spread of COVID-19 which is currently quite high in Indonesia.
Donations in the form of funds or special programs for victims, especially elderly victims, are needed. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has limited the mobility of citizens. The donations collected will be immediately distributed to thousands of victims who currently need assistance in terms of funds, basic necessities or other needs, especially the needs of the elderly.
The donations that are currently being collected are mostly obtained from the public in Indonesia, especially those with solidarity and empathy for humanity. Although the amount of donations raised was not large, IKa still consistently distributed them to victims, especially the elderly victims. Your donation to IKa through GlobalGiving will be very beneficial for victims to fulfill their rights as human beings with dignity in promoting justice among human beings.
