"Good morning
I am Nahla*
I am 12th grade student
I have studied the primary stage in many schools because of the war, my family were moving a lot from area to another.
My dream is to be an orthopedist to help my country's children
I would thank every person who provided me the aid."
Nahla is 17 years old and lives in Aleppo. Her short message to you carries all the obstacles and dreams of her young life. After years of war, violence and poverty, many schools are destroyed and there is a scarcity of teachers. Families are displaced and homeless, even more so after last year's hearthquake. A high percentage of people, and children, have physical disabilities, and many more have invisible scars.
But children are resilient and to invest in their education and dreams gives us the best hope for a more just and peaceful world. Thank you for your generosity in supporting children like Nahla.
Please consider sharing this with your friends and family to help more children like Nahla receive an education that gives them a better future.
