Strong teachers need strong basics.

Dear Friend of Education Africa,

Hello and thank you for supporting our campaign. We are very grateful and will continue to work hard on our Education Africa Early Childhood Development (ECD) Project with your help.

Since our last report, our students across our ECD centers received their Sesotho and Mathematics fundamental training.  We have seen over the years conducting ECD training that taking the time to ensure our students are strong in their basics is integral to their confidence and competence as future teachers. Our Education Africa trainers have also been busy with the administrative side of our training ensuring that marking and files are kept up to date. This process is also how we ensure the continued quality and sustainability of our ECD Projects.

Part of keeping on top of the basics is good planning. Our training team is also preparing to set up the activities and registration for the next intake of students in 2022. Education Africa places a huge emphasis on quality assurance and part of how we ensure consistency in our ECD projects is the time we take to plan. The 2022 activities and timelines will be a priority for our team for the next few months to ensure we are ready to commence with the new training in January/February of 2022, funding dependent. Though COVID and the broader issues of the ECD landscape remain issues, Education Africa is equipped with the requisite specialized staff, structures, and experience to tackle these issues and create meaningful change for South African children.

We are so proud of the incredible work our training team and students have done over the last few months. We look forward to concluding this year's projects and gearing up to welcome next year's students into our program.
