At the beginning of September, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) of our Special Education Program returned to their classes. This school year we opened five groups with eleven children, a head teacher and two assistant teachers, as a result of the high demand for a special school. In addition to improving children's communication, social, and cognitive skills, we have organized various activities since then. On September 14, the Independence Day was celebrated, the students threw confetti and danced to regional songs.
Thanks to your kindly support, we raised $475 dlls during GlobalGiving's Little By Little campaign, funds that will support children with autism of our program.
Harvest Day took place on October 27 and the children with ASD, therapist teachers, and staff dressed up as funny characters. All the students of the Special Education Program celebrated the day with delicious food, played on the bounce house and broke the piñata. At the end, they went trick or treating around our facilities with their blue pumpkin, and activity that helped them reinforce their social skills and raise autism awareness through our social media, because it is the representative color of autism.
Keep up with our activities and campaigns by following us on social media.
Best wishes
