Greetings from Uganda!
We are always grateful to have volunteers from all over the world assisting us - both in person and virtually! Recently, the children have fallen in love with Irish dancing thanks to our wonderful volunteer, Elaine. Check out our FB or Instagram for some videos of the children dancing!!
It was also amazing to see Uganda Hands for Hope get a mention in the Irish Journal! The children’s interest in Irish culture has blossomed, providing new activities (like hurling!) and opportunities for children who would otherwise roam the slums of Namuwongo. A massive thanks goes out to entire Irish community in Uganda who have made this possible!
And finally, thanks to supporters like you, now more than 50 families in our community have received small, interest free loans, from as little as $6, which have enabled them to improve their incomes and lift themselves out of poverty. Some have used the loans to start their own businesses and transformed the lives of their children.
If you have any interest in making a one-off donation, sponsoring a child or possibly volunteering with Uganda Hands for Hope, please reach out to us!
All the best,
The Uganda Hands for Hope Team
