Greetings from Uganda!
The children of Hands for Hope finished up Term 2 with a bang! Congratulations to all our hard-working students and staff! The best performers and greatest improvers were rewarded with donated clothes and shoes at our end-of-term prize-giving - spirits were very high!
Term 3 is already ramping up and everyone is happy to be back in the swing of things! Children in Primary 7 are working very hard for their final term prior to beginning Secondary School in the new year, and our lower classes are delighted to be back into the classroom.
We are also delighted to be training our girls in how to care for and use their new reusable sanitary products - thanks to a generous donation from AFRIpads! Shame, misinformation and lack of access to sanitary products forces countless girls out of the education system in Uganda every year. So, we’ve launched a new project on GlobalGiving that focuses just on our girls - please help us support these vulnerable young women by sponsoring a girl today!
Without the help from all of our friends and supporters, our work would not be possible. We are very grateful for all of your support.
Thank you!
