We will support a poor and marginalized family one at a time and we enjoin you to help us in this cause. Our help to a family will comprise of basic home essentials, provision of small livelihoods and health and hygiene package. The menu of support for a family will be determined and priority-listed by our field volunteers who will do the visitation and eventually provision of life-saving inputs. We will do this as an on-going assistance for the entire year.
Very poor and marginalized families have no means of breaking the cycle of poverty, malnutrition and powerlessness. A way has to be done to provide directed and multi-pronged support for them so that they will be able to break the chains that they are mired in at present. We will do this one family at a time, one village at a time and expand as we go along. Our support will include food, livelihood, health and hygiene and training.
We will field volunteers to survey the most poor and vulnerable in a village and prioritize those whom we want to help first. Then through analysis of their needs, we will provide a package of support carefully calibrated for each of the family we will be supporting. Close field monitoring and advise will be provided as we go along. As we implement this initiative, we will ask support from other local helpers in order to pool our resources.
Poor, marginal families in a village needs focused and multiple support graduated to their needs and capabilities. The development and eventual emancipation of a family means the development of the entire village as poor families tend to drag common resources and provide negative consequence to a village. The contribution to the well-being of the village by emancipated families will eventually be great.
