Greetings from Rural Women Development Trust,
Rural Women development trust is involving rescue and rehabilitation of bonded laborers since the year 2005. It primarily focuses on children education and women empowerment. Also, It addresses the issues cases for bonded labourer system and vulnerability for exploitation of women at work. In the recent years the youths both girls and boys are highly affected social evil customs. In the marginalised community there is high demand of trained leaders for supporting the vulnerable youth groups raising as responsible citizens.
In this regard, RWDT conducted three days leadership development program for village level youths in Salem district. It aimed at empowering young people from rural and marginalized communities. This program focuses on developing leadership skills, promoting social awareness, and encouraging active participation in social change. Through workshops and training sessions, RWDT helps youth to understand social justice, democracy, and humanism, equipping them to bring positive change to their communities.
It also educated the youths to address bonded laborer system, school drop outs, early child marriages and human trafficking.
About 45 youths participated in the program and enhanced their leadership skills. It will be highly impactful for the community development and inclusive society.
