After the pandemic period, the situation poses a serious public health risk particularly on economically poor and vulnerable communities in the rural parts of Salem District. The daily work and rescued poor women worker were highly struggled for manage their basic survival needs. RWDT supported free skill training for the women of vulnerable families. In the two month course, the women are taught sewing machine operating skills and stitching of domestic dresses. More than 50 women participated in this training and enhanced their income generating skills. After completion of the training, the women were supported to get employment nearby garments with good salaries. Some of the women were provided support to get sewing machines and start their self employments in their village it self.
Apart from this, 40 rescued bonded women got financial literacy training amd marketing training to maintain their day to day accounts. Also the women were supported revolving grant Rs.10000/- as seed capital to start their micro trade activities. Now they are getting regular income and ensured with financial sustainability.
