Introduction
The second wave of pandemic COVID-19 highly affected the rural vulnerable population. The country announced country wide lockdown again. Last two months the women and their families are struggling for their survival basic needs. The impacts of second wave are higly among the these rural population. About 10000 people were lost their lives due to sever spread and lungs infection. Hence there is a emergency need to support these families such as dry ration and medical supports.
Dry Ration support
RWDT team mobilized resource from various sources for the past one month. We have purchased dry ration packs and distributed to the needy women and their families those who lost their livelihood incomes due to shut down of work places. About 500 women were supported these dry ration packs. It will help them to feed their families for atleast 15 days.
Awareness Campaign
The rural population in our location is illiterate and excluded from all development aspects from the government. We formed a campaign team and make awareness among these people. We teach clean habits, keeping social distance and available medical supports nearby their villages.
Also the sick people were referred to nearby hospitals and get treatment. The victims were given hand holding support to get relief from available sorces.
Through this campaign, about 10000 rural population got benefit.
