Zimbabwe's Mana Pools National Park is one of Southern Africa's most remote and idyllic wildlife destinations. It is an acclaimed UNISCO world heritage site but unfortunately, being so remote and secluded on the border or two countries, makes it a prime spot from which to harvest abundant wildlife.
As part of our ongoing commitment to putting an end to wildlife poaching, during 2021 we built an additional Anti-Poaching Unit in the Mana area, providing National Parks with much-needed capacity. We also launched a Ranger Protein Supplement program to support 80 rangers and their families who live and co-exist alongside the wildlife that they protect, whilst putting their lives at risk. We have seen a significant reduction in animal poaching through the measures implemented by our wildlife co-existence projects over the past few years.
We are eternally grateful for the ongoing support and financial contribution towards our conservation efforts in Mana.
