The Connie’s Home project was established to care for sick infants awaiting adoption. Often these children are set aside after being added to the adoption lists because their unaided health conditions progress and eventually results in their being removed from the list. It is the mission of Connie’s Home staff to recognize the value and potential of each child, nursing them back to health until the children can be successfully adopted, usually before reaching school age. Each child receives the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual care that will help them through the adoption transition ahead.
Connie’s Home makes every effort to develop our staff and provide opportunities for their professional growth. We partner with external organizations to train some of our staff to become au pairs to work in western homes. All of our staff are professionally trained to follow strict safety guidelines and understand benchmarks in childcare and development. We also provide live-in, on the job training for young women who are finishing their sentence at the Chiang Mai (Women’s) Juvenile Detention Center. As these young women learn to care for children, they receive life and job skills training that will help establish their lives on a more stable foundation.
Thank you for partnering with us to support so many families in many different ways!
