Build (8) STEM labs for rural Sri Lankan schools

Dear Donors,

We greatly appreciate and thank you for your contributions and generosity in supporting our STEM Lab project for Eriyathota Maha Vidyalaya. 

Thanks to the generous donation of certain individuals and private organisations, we have been granted with 12 CPU’s, Microsoft Office software, keyboards, and monitors. This contribution significantly reduces the amount needed to be raised. 

With the fundings received through this platform, we have purchased the following (USD):

> 12 SSD (Solid State Drives) -$900

> Tables -$700

As of April 4th, we have officially begun the construction of the lab. This includes assembling built-in tables, installation for the wiring, and transporting the monitors/keyboards. It is almost complete with only a few minor purchases to be made. The principal and students alike were very grateful for the opportunity to have access to more modern technological resources, which can be used to serve many future generations in STEM related fields.

Dear Donors,

We greatly appreciate and thank you for your generosity in supporting our STEM Lab project for Eriyathota Maha Vidyalaya, a rural school located in Kamburupitya. 

Tarana Foundation's members visited the school on February 26th and were greeted warmly with a grand welcome. The principal and head prefect presented a speech while some of the younger students performed, displaying their talent.  

Through our current donations, we will be able to purchase 12 SSD harddrives. We are grateful that a private organisation in Sri lanka has agreed to provide 12 desktop shells and monitors. They will also be instructing a few computer literacy sessions following the lab's completion. In the coming months, we will conduct various other fundraisers in Canada to account for the remaining cost. This includes tables, chairs, a paint job, and other STEM resources. 

We will be participating in GlobalGiving's Little by Little campaign, April 8-12, 2024. Donations up to USD $50 per unique donor per organisation will be matched at 50%.
