Fight malnutrition in Oaxaca!!

Dalila, a young teenager with a serene gaze but burdened with difficult stories, found in Crecemos DIJO a home away from home. From a young age, she had faced malnutrition and loneliness, but that place offered her much more than simple activities. Her experiences are an odyssey of hope during the COVID crisis, a testimony that reminds us of the transformative power of love and community.

The summer afternoons at Crecemos DIJO were magical for Dalila. Amidst laughter and the soft texture of clay, she molded figures that challenged her imagination. Beyond the skills she acquired, what truly transformed Dalila's life was the sense of belonging she found at the Non-profit.
Mornings begins with shared breakfasts that nourished not only her body but also her soul, allowing her to overcome severe malnutrition. In moments of sadness, she always find someone willing to offer a word of encouragement or a comforting hug. Those gestures of love and solidarity reaffirmed to her that, despite the difficulties, she was never alone.

But Dalila's true strength was revealed when the COVID-19 crisis hit hard. Amidst uncertainty and fear, Crecemos DIJO became her anchor, offering her emotional support and resources to face adversity. The community's solidarity was tangibly manifested when the center, despite its own financial difficulties, secured the necessary funds for Dalila to continue her education and stay in the city of Oaxaca, Mexico.

Today, as she reflects on her journey, Dalila carries with her the legacy of those who showed her that even in the darkest moments, there is always a guiding light towards hope.
