Training Update!

We have some really exciting updates on the Haitian staff training front! Our American staff was able to travel to Haiti in April and spend two weeks training our Haitian staff to complete a WaterHouse installation all on their own!
They have been trained to do maintenance and filter changes but the heavy set up work has only been observed so far. We did one WaterHouse installation where our team observed, asked questions, and we did some intense teaching. Then we did a second system where our team did the entire installation themselves. We were available for questions and problem solving but overall we were hardly needed!
Our team did an amazing job and we are ready for them to take over this BIG task and reach more communities because of it!
Check out a few photos from the trip below. And thank you for your support of our team development!

Hey all!
Just wanted to say thanks for giving to this project and give you a little update on our staff development. Venel and Junnot continue to install filters in new areas and we have been working with them to continue training on Water House maintenance. Chelo is now fully trained in Water House maintenance and has recently begun development on building a Water House from start to finish. The installation process has always been led by American staff and we are looking at training for this piece of the work when we travel to Haiti on our next trip.
Our staff continue to accomplish all the important work to maintain clean water to their communities and have continued to play an integral role in earthquake rebuilding and community impact. We are thrilled at their ownership and leadership and will continue training them to be fully ready to do all job roles hopefully by the end of 2022.
Thanks!
Sara

Development and Training Update

Hey all!
Just wanted to give you an update on our training and development project here at Poured Out.
This project is underway as our staff have been challenged with the new task of managing rebuilding efforts in Haiti after the most recent earthquake. At this time, we have not hired any new staff but we were able to travel to Haiti to provide development training for our three staff members current job roles of water project maintenance. We also assigned and trained them in new roles as we take on rebuilding homes in the communities where we already serve. This has been a really challenging but also exciting time to see our staff grow and learn with very little time to adapt to their new project management roles.
We feel as if this step will lead us in the direction of more leadership roles for our staff and allow them to develop managerial skills, communication, and community connections. We will continue to provide guidance to our staff in their new roles and plan on another trip to provide more hands-on training in the next quarter!
Thank you so much for supporting this ongoing project of development and training!
