Hi Friends,
Project Soar is incredibly grateful to You, our supporters! Thanks to your generous donations, each week hundreds of girls across 40 marginalized communities in Morocco participate in our empowerment workshops, engage in Girls Leaders Clubs activities, and share a safe space where they can grow into strong, successful women.
At Project Soar, we believe that education is crucial for the self-development of teen girls, enhancing their chances to realize their dreams and break the cycle of poverty that can persist for generations. Education is not just a powerful tool for self-liberation; in some cases, it can be life-saving as girls who remain in school are less likely to fall victim to child marriage That is why our mission includes enabling girls to stay in school by addressing the obstacles that threaten their educational opportunities.
This spring, Project Soar focused part of its efforts and funds on providing eye tests and prescription glasses to students in schools across Marrakech. Many of these youth come from vulnerable backgrounds and had never had their eyesight tested. As a result, several students discovered they needed glasses and expressed immense gratitude for this opportunity:
"These eyeglasses will be very beneficial for our studies. Thank you."
"Thank you for the efforts you're making to bring happiness into our lives."
These glasses will not only improve their vision and overall health but also enhance their ability to focus in school and engage confidently in their studies. Now better equipped to pursue their dreams and excel in their educational endeavors, these students are set on a path to success. We are truly proud to be part of this initiative and to further support girls on their journey to brighter futures.
Stay tuned for more news from Project Soar and never doubt that you are making a difference!
With gratitude,
Project Soar Team
