Dear Valued Donors,
We cannot thank you enough for your generous contributions, which enabled us to perform a groundbreaking surgery in one of SEMA Hospitals in northern Syria. Your support has made a life-saving difference for a young patient in need.
The patient was a 22-year-old woman who had been struggling with esophageal varices with secondary splenomegaly. Despite previous treatment in Turkey for sclerotherapy of the bleeding veins, she relapsed and didn't respond to treatment. But thanks to your support, we were able to perform a unique surgical procedure and save her life.
Our team of general surgeons and vascular surgeons worked together to remove the severely enlarged spleen that was causing the patient to consume blood elements, such as platelets, which were severely lacking. The surgery was successful, and the patient is now recovering in the recovery ward in preparation for her discharge.
We are incredibly proud of our medical team, who worked tirelessly to perform this delicate operation, and we thank God for its success.
But we cannot stop here. There are many more patients in northern Syria who are in desperate need of life-saving surgeries. By sponsoring an operation, you can be a beacon of hope for someone in need and help us save more lives.
Thank you again for your unwavering support. Together, we can make a difference and bring light to those who need it most.
