In July 2023, the children accompanied by the staff of Roshni Homes Trust embarked on an enriching field trip to Sialkot, Pakistan. The purpose of the trip was to visit Dr. Frigz, a renowned surgical equipment manufacturer, and SOS Village, another notable orphanage in the area. The trip aimed to provide our children with valuable insights, learning opportunities, and a chance to connect with their peers at SOS Village.
Visit to Dr. Frigz Surgical Equipment Manufacturer:
The visit to Dr. Frigz proved to be an eye-opening experience for our children. They were welcomed by the company's dedicated team, who enthusiastically shared insights about the manufacturing process of surgical equipment. The children were introduced to various stages of production, from design and testing to packaging and distribution. This exposure to advanced medical technology ignited curiosity among the children, as they asked insightful questions about the significance of these tools in saving lives.
Furthermore, the team at Dr. Frigz emphasized the importance of quality control and precision in their work. This resonated with our children, as they understood that attention to detail is crucial in every endeavor. The visit encouraged them to dream big and realize the impact of innovation on society.
Interaction with SOS Village:
The visit to SOS Village was a heartwarming experience for our children, as they had the chance to interact with children who share similar life experiences. The children participated in various activities and games, forging new friendships and building connections that transcended their backgrounds. This interaction helped break down barriers and stereotypes, promoting a sense of unity and camaraderie.
Our children were deeply moved by the strong support system fostered at SOS Village, where children are provided with nurturing environments, education, and healthcare. Witnessing the positive impact of collective efforts on a larger scale left a lasting impression on our children's hearts.
Impact and Reflections:
The field trip left an amazing impact on our children and staff. The exposure to Dr. Frigz's innovative work instilled a sense of aspiration, encouraging our children to explore diverse fields. The interaction with SOS Village reminded everyone of the importance of empathy, shared experiences, and the potential for positive change.
As we move forward, the memories and lessons from this trip will continue to inspire us to provide the best care and opportunities for our children. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and look forward to nurturing the potential within each child under our care.
NOTE: Pictures of the children are not shared specifically to preserve their self esteem as they grow older. Images shared online can have a lasting digital footprint that might impact their lives in the future.
