The Veterinary Training Camp (Spay Academy) is another of ASNI’s collaborations at the Center of Hope Hospital outside Bucharest. Training vets and vet students from all over the world the spay academy teaches the highly skilled techniques used in all spay campaigns by our Veterinary team.
Over a five day period students will receive intensive training in Spay Hook surgical procedures. Developed in the USA, Dr Aurelian Stefan received this training and brought his skills back to teach others. https://veterinarytrainingcamp.com/
The Spay Hook procedure is a minimally invasive, keyhole surgical method, leaving just a wound a couple of centimetres in size once complete. Animals recover more quickly and have less complications after surgery using this method. Enabling the veterinary team to carry out multiple surgeries in a short period of time on spay campaigns. One surgery can be completed in under 10 minutes once the surgeon has this skill in his/her repertoire.
All this provides a basis for more spay and neuters in a highly skilled way!
