2024 Annual Report - Acess Work! Project

Organization: Association for the Protection of Children and Adolescents - Cepac
Project: Acess Work!
Objective: To empower adolescents and young people in vulnerable situations to enter the job market.

In 2024, the Acess Work! The project impacted the lives of 96 young people aged 15 to 22, providing them with training and confidence to pursue professional opportunities. The project offered essential workshops on skills such as Word, Excel, communication, and interview preparation to reduce school dropout rates and strengthen access to formal employment.

Key Results

  • Participant Profile: 57% women, 57% Black and mixed-race youth.
  • Youth Approval: 82% reported greater confidence for interviews by the end of the project.
  • Family Impact: We estimate that over 165 individuals have been indirectly benefited through these young people.

Impact Stories

Among the participants, we highlight the story of Jamile, 20, who joined the project feeling insecure and left with an apprenticeship job that led to a permanent position. She is now pursuing a degree in Digital Design. Stories like this demonstrate the importance of our work and the impact Acessa Trabalho has on each young person’s life.

Partnerships and Activities

This year, we collaborated with 26 volunteers, including psychologists and professionals from various fields, and organized technical visits to partner companies such as Kellanova, Saint Gobain, and Capgemini. These experiences were crucial for broadening the young people's perspectives on the job market.

Next Steps

Next year, we aim to expand the project by including financial education modules. The continued support of our donors is essential to achieving these goals and continuing to transform lives.
