To our kind donors that have contributed towards our elephant orphanage project, we have decided to launch an exciting new campaign called "1000 Hearts for South Africa's first Elephant Orphanage" to help us hit the target of our first phase of the elephant orphanage.
That means we will close this Campaign and have started a new one, that you can find by clicking on this link:
The money that we raised so far in the current project gave us the building blocks to secure land, and now we have a clear and defined goal that requires a fresh and exciting new Global Giving project, which we hope you will continue to be a part of.
We have reduced the current project goal to USD80 000, which is the equivalent of R1 000 000, which is what it will cost to complete the working structure for the new orphanage.
The Campaign is called "A 1000 Hearts for South Africa's First elephant orphanage". Here we have simplified it to ask for 1000 donations of R1000 (approximate equivalent to USD80) to reach our goal. In return, each HEART donation will have their name listed on our "1000 Hearts Forever Wall of Gratitude" at the orphanage.
You can list your name, your family's name, your school name, your company name, or you can even donate a heart in someone's memory or as a gift for someone you love, that has a passion for wildlife conservation and elephants, just like you do.
We will continue to have lower donations options in the new project, which will continue to contribute to the daily costs of orphaned elephant Mopane and orphaned elephants that come into our care.
Please continue to follow our journey and help us complete this essential next step in ensuring we are ready to help any little elephant that has lost its herd to elephant poaching or any other contributing factors.
Thank you for all your support and love so far!
