21st-century Tech at South African School

Dear Friend,

A computer lab is much more than just the technology. A lab also requires

• security measures,
• a bank safe for storage,
• electricity,
• desks and chairs,
• Internet access, and
• curricular software that parallels the government curriculum.

The population of the school for which we would like to build this lab has steadily increased since our partnership with them began. Our goal, therefore, is ever-more-vital, as now nearly 600 children would benefit from access to twenty-first century technology. If GlobalGiving donors are successful in helping to fund this project, we will raise the school’s computer literacy rate from 0% to 100%, as we have done in three other schools in the same region. We would be thrilled to extend this same access to this worthy school.

Any child without technology exposure early and without mastery later will struggle to succeed in tertiary studies and to find a career commensurate with twenty-first century advancements.
