Dear Friend,
We are grateful to have received a donation of 30 laptops for this lab, which is a substantial boost to this project, as computers are the major expense.
That said, a computer lab is much more than just the technology.
A lab also requires
The population of the school for which we would like to build this lab has increased by nearly 30%. When a school shows signs of improvement and even hope, parents are more willing to send their children there.
Our goal, therefore, is ever-more-vital, as each of those 550 children needs access to twenty-first century technology. If GlobalGiving donors are successful in helping to fund this project, we will raise the school’s computer literacy rate from 0% to 100%, as we have done in three other schools in the same region. We would be thrilled to extend this same access to this worthy school.
Please share the project link with family, friends, and colleagues, and ask if your company offers corporate matching. Any child without technology exposure early and without mastery later will struggle to succeed in tertiary studies and to find a career commensurate with twenty-first century advancements.
Thank you for doing what you can to ensure that the children at a rural primary school in South Africa get the access they deserve.
