"We come to the Foundation as to a Mother"

PAY IT FORWARD - Peace in Ukraine

On February 24, 2025, we celebrated the 21st birthday of the PAY IT FORWARD Foundation. To our huge surprise we were visited by a delegation of Ukrainian families living in our city, families which we had taken care of at the start of the full scale war in Ukraine, 3 years ago.

They came with wishes and with a beautiful quote which moved us deeply: "We come to the Foundation as to a Mother who loves us, takes care of us and prepares us for harsh life". Although they still live in fear for their loved ones in Ukraine and are depressed by the situation and constant bombings, they found the strength and motivation to visit us on this special day, wish us the best and smile genuinely. Among the wishes, there was also one for peace in the world.

This factor is also extremely important to us. And although we were the ones who had the 21st birthday, we do wish everybody this peace. Not only worldwidely, but also peace in one's hearts.

There are still 5 people with disabilities from Ukraine under our care, who benefit from rehabilitation at our Rehabilitation Center and from rehabilitation at the swimming pool. This is possible thanks to your help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
