Dear friend of The Solidarity Project,
You are a changemaker. Thanks to your generosity, your belief in our mission we have successfully expanded our rural health program into 5 communities, trained 14 community health worker volunteers, and implemented our community pharmacy in each of our partner communities!
So, what does this mean?
This means that rural communities have trained health volunteers who can offer first aid and basic medical care so that when somebody sustains a cut working in the fields, they don’t have to travel for hours to receive care. This means that when a child has a high fever, they don’t have to take a bus just to purchase acetaminophen or ibuprofen. This means that local Hondurans have the opportunity to further their education through Red Cross first aid training and care for their own community members.
We are thrilled to continue this work in 2023. As we approach Giving Tuesday, we are excited to direct you to our 2023 Solidarity Month fundraising page to continue supporting our Honduran leaders in making change in their communities. If you are a monthly donor, your generosity will automatically roll to support our work.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
In Solidarity,
Jean, Melisa, Lauren, Rosi, Carolyn, and all of us at The Solidarity Project
