Dear Supporter of the Solar power plant,
As soon as we received the funds from GlobalGiving, we started the civil works to install the solar power plant. We started off with civil works which is completed now and also the solar panels along with the inverters are being installed.
The invertors are generating power but it is not going to be of any use till the state Government connects the invertors to the bidirectional meters where the meter calculates the net number between the generation of solar power and consumption of Government's power.
State officials have inspected the site and now we have to submit paper work for the state to connect the bidirectional meters which we are expecting to complete in the next 10 days. As soon as the meters are connected, our savings will begin.
As per our contractor, we should be generating about 24 to 25 units of power every day and that translates to 1500 units for two months which is more than sufficient to cover all our energy needs. Our state also has provision for credit of power if in case we generate more than we consume which would be a great blessing to us to save electricity costs.
We expect to save a minimum of Rs. 6,000/- a month and I cannot tell you how much this means to us because this saving can be used to provide better amenities to our girls and for that, I want to say a big thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am delayed by a couple of days in sending this report but I was just waiting for the civil work to be completed so that I could take the photos to update you. Kindly accept my sincere apologies for this delay and please take a look at all the photos that I have enclosed to see the progress and in the next ten days, I will update you more about the completion of this project.
Again, thank you for your support and God bless.
Regards
Ruby Nakka
