Mr. Miti is a smallholder farmer in Kasenegwa District of Eastern Province. For the past 20 years he has been using a water can to water his 1 acre garden and this year he was ready to retire because according to him it was tiresome to water with a water can.
He heard the Solar Water Pump project implemented by Kukula Solar and how smallholder farmers can benefit from it.
He reached out to our team and he was approved to benefit from the solar water pump.
Today Mr.Miti is happy and has grown winter maize so that he can have enough food for the whole year and sell the surplus so that he can use the income to expand is garden business.
With your support to this project, we are reaching more smallholder farmers like Mr. Miti so that we can displace fuel water pumps and water cans not only to protect the planet but also to ensure that our smallholder farmers break the cycle of poverty and contribute to household food security.
Consider gifting a solar water pump to a smallholder farmer to end poverty.
Thanks for your continued support.
