Since the water system for the health clinic in Karambi became operational at the beginning of the year, we've heard from patients and health care providers who were eager to share their stories about how easy access to safe water has transformed their community. I'm thrilled to be able to share some of those testimonials with you, the generous donors who helped make this transformation possible. Thank you, as always, for your compassion in action!
“My name is Rahamou and I live in the village of Krambi Tsofoua. When I gave birth for the first time, our health care facility had a serious water problem, and we had to rush to the village to fetch a quantity of water which was used to do the minimum of hygiene, despite which I didn't even wash. This year, however, I went back for another delivery, where I found water available on the spot, enabling the matrons to clean the delivery room and wash my child. In turn, I had plenty of water to wash myself. It's a great relief to have water available at the health care facility. We are very satisfied and thank the donors!"
“I'm Noura Moussa, a nurse at Karambi health care facility. Before Wells Bring Hope provided this new water system, women had to fetch jerry cans of water from the village to cover their needs after childbirth. But today, we no longer have this problem. We have a water point in the delivery room, enabling the midwife to practice the necessary hygiene. As for the mother of the child, she can also go to the shower to wash herself and her clothes, as there's also a water point for her use. Afterwards, the matron can prepare a water-based solution to clean the delivery room and keep it clean for other visitors.”
