Your Support Helps Women Rebuild Their Lives

By MADRE | MADRE

With your support, over 60 Yazidi women sought refuge at a center run by the Organization for Women’s Freedom in Iraq (OWFI). From psychosocial support sessions to vocational training courses and basic literacy classes you helped these women find safety and friends to lean on.

The center provided protection and emotional healing, offering them the time and resources to heal. One survivor reflected on her time there, “I have become very brave. I am not afraid of my past, and it does not stop me. I can build a new life now, and I feel strong enough to do it.” Thanks to your support, women are able to seek out help through OWFI and rebuild their lives.
