Enduring Hope

By MMCC | Team

Our New Center in Herat

Our staff and children have quickly adapted to our new center in Herat, which has been thoughtfully designed to meet the specific needs of our activities. The kitchen and daily food preparation processes have been reorganized for greater efficiency, ensuring we can continue operating smoothly. With gradual improvements to the center and close collaboration with parents and local authorities, we have sustained and enhanced our programs, particularly those for girls.

Thanks to your generous support, we continue to provide nutritious daily lunches to nearly a hundred underprivileged children, especially girls. These meals have a significant positive impact on the children’s health and well-being and in supporting their families. This support also enables us to organize performances for other children in the city, spreading joy and engagement throughout the community.

World Circus Day & Regional Championship

This year, MMCC celebrated World Circus Day with all 34 of its teams across 17 provinces, including our Herat Center. You can watch a video of the Herat Center’s participation here. Last month, all the girls and boys from this center also participated in the regional juggling championship, demonstrating their growing skills and enthusiasm.

Performances and Community Engagement

In our most recent public school performance, we invited the authorities and representatives from the Herat Province's Ministry of Education. We are continually exploring new ways to bring the joy of educational entertainment to as many children as possible. In these challenging times, it is essential to introduce and maintain a culture of peace and learning through creative joyful activities. Our center, which serves as an oasis of joy and fun, is setting new standards for what should be available to children, particularly girls, in Herat and across Afghanistan.
