Project Report | Aug 2, 2019
4080

By Maricarmen Valdivieso | Founder

[Español --> English]

Queridas y queridos donantes,

Agradecid@s,

Nexos Comunitarios

Dear donors,

Few days ago, children at the school started their vacations. We want to share with you that so far, we have delivered 4080 lunches among the 68 children of the school of Cuncani. We are very grateful for your donations. Thanks to them, girls and boy of the community of Cuncani are eating nutritious meals while they go to school.

A couple of weeks ago, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) published the results of the Multidimensional Poverty Index 2019. This data is the result of comparing the data between 2006 and 2012 (not the current one). According to the results, Peru has been recognized as the country that has reduced poverty the most during the last decade.  As all Peruvians, we are pleased with the results. However, we want to share with you this article which explains more about this global indicator and how we should understand within our context.

We still have 4 months to finish the year and we have a goal to accomplish. Please, don't stop sharing our fundraiser among your friends and family. And if you can, keep making donations to our Lunch Program!

With gratitude,

Nexos Comunitarios
