Right now there are children in Uganda who are at risk of sexual assault. They live in communities where there is no one to stand up for them. The police won't arrest rapists unless their families can pay the holding fee. Even if they are arrested, a bribe can get them released from jail. Rapists are free to hurt more children.
Right now child sexual assault hangs like a dark cloud over too many Ugandan communities.
Fortunately for your children and their families, you are bringing light to their community.
You are standing up for survivors through legal advocacy. You are holding rapists accountable. You are offering counseling and safe shelter to survivors. You have empowered the community to stop child sexual assault through education.
The work you are doing now will impact the lives of your children. It will prevent assaults in the future and ensure that survivors get the care they need.
Your children are so grateful that you have chosen to stand up for them.
Thank you!
P.S. We have just finished interviews for the social worker who will be working in your schools to provide counseling to survivors and education to all of your students and the community. This position is key to ensuring the success of our programs so we are working hard to ensure we find the candidate who is the right fit. We hope to introduce you to our latest employee very soon!
