By Sarah Bergs | Project Leader
We have spent the last few months allowing Mildred, our on-site seamstress to practice sewing reusable pads, so we can now support Ivy (who is wheelchair bound and prefers to work at home) as well as Mildred with the opportunity to sew pads, thus bringing income generation to two women, and helping us make more pads! (always good!) We are excited to have worked with fellow NGO's for an event at the end of 2022 in Utah/Dixie villages (outside Manyeleti Game Reserve) to distribute sanitary pads to 20 teens and women! These may seem like small accomplishments, but every pad packs helps bring dignity, hygiene and keep a girl in school, or allows a women to menstruate without judgement, and additional worry (especially financial!)
SO thank you to all who allow this beautiful multifacteted project to keep sewing sewing and sewing!!
