Thank you for supporting Settecento

By Camilla Scarlett | General Manager

Dear Supporter

We're pleased to be writing with the news that this new album is now fully funded. Thank you for helping us to achieve this. We've managed to raise all the money needed to make the project through this crowdfunding campaign, as well as thanks to a number of track sponsors and other individuals who have donated directly to the charity. We are preparing for a release in November 2020 on the Signum label. Watch this space!

In these challenging times, La Serenissima remains more committed than ever to delivering its mission and to continue to honour its vision to enrich lives by sharing our passion for Italian baroque music. Although we are unable to perform in public since the closure of venues in response to COVID-19, our recordings remain a powerful means to reach audiences and to uplift spirits in isolation. Thank you for your support to this part of our artistic output - it has never been so important to us.

Last week we launched a new campaign on GlobalGiving to create a Relief Fund for La Serenissima artists in need of financial support during this time of crisis. If you haven't joined our Crowd for that project, please consider supporting us if you can. We need our artists and their wellbeing is paramount to our ability to make music. Your support is hugely appreciated.

Finally, during this time of isolation please remember you have La Serenissima's music to keep you company: we're on the radio, you can stream our albums and many of you will have physical record collections in your homes. Vivaldi and his friends will keep your spirits up - he's certainly doing that in our house! Adrian's new editing project - born from the mantra a Vivaldi concerto a day keeps the doctor away - is being shared daily via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. There will also be a new album release to look forward to in July when Extra Time comes out - the music is brilliant and we're very proud of this work, created over several years in the recording studio. And if you would like to help La Serenissima access 'free' funding, you can now do most of your online shopping via Amazon Smile and Give As You Live and nominate La Serenissima for this support. It really does make a difference to us!

Thank you for supporting us. We hope we can support you in this time of crisis.

With our gratitude

Adrian & Camilla
