Hands-on inspiration at our recent Go STEM! event
Hands-on inspiration at our recent Go STEM! event

Your support continues to help Form the Future inspire the next generation about their future. We held a second multi-school event recently with a specific focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) and it was a huge success!

  • 85% agreed or strongly agreed that they learned more about the types of jobs in the STEM sectors.
  • 60% said they understood the skills required and the qualifications needed to pursue a career in STEM
  • 41% said they were more likely to pursue further education in STEM as a result of the event.

We also asked about attitudes towards Apprenticeships.

  • 75% said they had spoken to an apprenticeship employer at the event.
  • 54% of students said they had not considered an Apprenticeship before the event but 75% said they were more likely to consider an Apprenticeship after the event.
  • 85% stated that the event had increased their awareness and 80% felt it had increased their understanding of Apprenticeships.

We know that events like these help young people navigate the complex decision making process and that without our help - and your support - they may not get opportunities like these to meet prospective employers and get the information they need to take their next steps.

We have recently launched our Christmas appeal. Please have a look at our second project on GlobalGiving, Careers Inspiration for Every Child, and if you can please consider giving again.

With many thanks for your support and best wishes for the holiday season.

Yours,

Anne
