Send Them Back To School Project

In 2023, the Send Them Back To School Project will support 45 underprivileged children (40 children and 5 young adults) from Kicukiro District, Kigali, Rwanda. This project will cover tuition fees and purchase supplies for at least 40 primary and secondary school children. As well, as help cover the cost of school supplies and laptops for 5 young adults attending university.

Friends Peace House through GlobalGiving donations, today on the 31st, of October 2023, therefore, has given eight (8) students school materials. whereby three (3) were Secondary students and five (5) were Primary students. among the materials given were Calculators, Mathematical sets, rulers, colors, pencils, sharpeners, and carrier bags. all students were happy to get these materials because they were in need.

our target is to reach more than forty students and even give some young adults who are in university laptops. However, due to the limited resources, we are yet to hit the target. it is for this very reason we are encouraging all well-wishers and our tireless donors to kindly support this project for its success.

It has been 3 months since we posted our project to help support 45 underprivileged children (40 children and 5 young adults) from Kicukiro District , Kigali, Rwanda. So far we have raised $120. We are grateful to those who have donated to the project thus far. Your contributions are important to helping cover tuition fees and purchase school supplies for primary and secondary school children. As well, as help cover the cost of school supplies and laptops for young adults that are attending university. The money raised so far will provide school fees for 1 child in primary school. Giving an underprivileged child the chance at an education. 

To reach our target goal of covering tuition fees and purchasing school supplies for at least 40 primary and secondary school children. As well, as helping cover the cost of school supplies and laptops for 5 young adults that are attending university. We still need to raise $14580. Due to the expenses of public primary and secondary education in Rwanda, many children who are living in poverty are unable to attend school. The families of these children often face a choice between funding their children's education or paying for basic necessities. This has led to high drop out rates or children not having the chance to attend school at all. This situation contributes to perpetuating a poverty cycle. These families are not able to fund their children's education on their own. It is only through us helping raise funds, with your support, that these underprivileged children can afford to attend school. 

We want to say thank you to everyone who has donated so far and continue to donate to our project. A small donation of $10 will provide rulers for 20 children and $40 will provide mathematical drawing boxes for 20 children. We want to help send these Rwandan children to school without financial burden. Thank you for your support.
