Your support will give 300 children the opportunity to learn, empower, gain self-esteem, and have a future they wouldn't otherwise have. Our goal is to ensure these children have uniforms, shoes, backpacks, books, pencils, paper, tuition, transportation, and tutors to help them succeed.
The poorest country in the Western Hemisphere is Haiti. A lack of access to education contributes significantly to the abandonment of children as well as the continuation of poverty. Families in developing countries often face difficulties enrolling their children in school and purchasing school supplies, and they are easily bribed by promises of educational opportunities for their children. These children are often subjected to abuse and slavery.
A year of education will be provided to the children while they live in our "safehouse" or with their families. We'll make sure they have uniforms, books, tutor support, and transportation to and from school. Little Footprints Big Steps rescues and reunites children with their families and promotes sustainable development in Haitian communities. With your donation, we can provide in-school, on-site, and outreach support for education.
Through this project, we hope to provide children with a real and accountable opportunity to become self-sufficient and self-determined in the future. By ensuring the opportunity for successful education, the project will make a significant contribution to the future of an individual, a family, a community, and a country. YOU can make a difference, one person at a time, and generations can be impacted. We must break the cycle of poverty. The first step to success is education.
